Since our launch in June 2024, Life Interrupted Foundation has made a profound impact, touching thousands of lives across the country. Hundreds of individuals have reached out to us on various platforms to share their experiences of loss, and over 45 people have directly sought our help. We’ve been able to provide essential resources, emergency grants, and guidance to those navigating the challenging journey of loss.
Each year in the United States, between 500,000 to 600,000 unexpected deaths occur. This means that every single day, around 1,500 families receive the life-altering phone call that shatters their world. In that moment, everything changes—their lives, their future, and their sense of security. These families are left to navigate not only the immense emotional toll of grief but also the unexpected financial burdens that come with it.

Life Interrupted Foundation has been a source of hope for me during my darkest time.
My husband of 22 years passed suddenly of a heart attack in June of 2024. Alone with two children I was struck with the realization that his income stopped and bills kept coming. Eviction notices and disconnection notices came fast. I searched for help and most grants were geared towards specific occupations.
Then I found Life Interrupted and Emmy she told me they would help us. She told me they would be there for me and my daughters, and they were!
We are beyond grateful for the donors and this life changing opportunity we were blessed with. We are not going to be homeless and my children will eat during our grieving. Emmy made all the calls and made sure we were going to be okay.
